Shirts cheaper (plus: remix, anyone?)

We like our shirts. Why else would we have printed them for ourselves? But up to now we had a little mark-up on the production price - not much, but still. Good news, everyone: We decided to take off that mark-up. Completely & permanently. No small print. You get the shirts for the price our on-demand printing service Spreadshirt sells them to us. (Or rather: to you. We don’t even get involved anymore.)

Why? It’s a pretty short story. We have full-time jobs, and those shirts just started out as a little joke, we’ve been printing them just for fun. So why charge anyone for a hobby? There you go. So what does that mean? If you order a shirt, you buy the shirt directly from Spreadshirt, who prints and ships it to you. We cut out the middlemen. (That’s us.) It feels much better that way, too.

So now that we have no financial incentive to sell anything, it’s ok to pimp some of our own shirts, right? There’s something we’d like to point out to you, and that’s the two separate shops that you can get your shirts from.

If you’re based in Europe, you can order in our European shop. (At this point it’s in German, but you should be able to switch the interface to your local language.) Most shirts here are €19.90. You can change the colors and all in the shop.

If you’re U.S.-based, no problem either. Our U.S. shop offers most shirts for $15.90. You can change the colors and all in the shop.

Also, we’d like to stress once more that we don’t mind in the least if you clone this shirt and adapt it, as long as you don’t sell it for profit afterwards. (That’s why we license all our stuff under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share-Alike license.) Go remix!

It’d be pretty cool if you sent us a photo of what your new version looks like! Same goes, by the way, for all other photos of you wearing those shirts of ours. We get psyched about seeing them in the wild.

Enjoy!
